Vacuum pouches (three side sealed bags) are used to preserve the quality of product as good and long as possible, and to ensure that the taste, flavour, colour, aroma and nutrition value are not lost.
Bags can be smooth on both sides or one side embossed. The outer difference is that embossed bags are textured or embossed on one side. This texturing creates channels to remove air out of the bag during the sealing process. Embossed vacuum bags are used in channel-type vacuum sealer or vacuum machines with external suction.
